Share, Don’t Sell
by Ani M. Cole

So you’ve got a fantastic product called the KYK Genesis water ionizer. You’ve been helped by it, you believe in it and you want to succeed in selling lots of it. But the idea of outright “selling” is not very inspiring to you, nor is it very friendly or attractive to the potential buyer. A better approach is to: 1) share inspiring information from reputable sources, 2) share success stories about it – whether personal, second person, or from credible sources – particularly successes that address issues the listener can relate to, and/or 3) share the water itself for ultimate proof of how it can improve the prospect’s health thus quality of life.
Since lack of proper hydration is such a prevalent contributor to physical discomforts and diseases, it’s a “natural” to share or “promote” the basic concept of drinking alkaline water: to effectively hydrate every cell while improving the body’s pH balance, thereby giving all the systems and organs of the body a boost to function at their best.
Sharing Information from Credible Sources
When it comes to sharing with people
who already know and trust you, you may not have to provide
references for every fact you relay.
However, when sharing information with more distant contacts (or with total strangers when advertising), you’ll need to establish credibility and build trust by substantiating what you say or write with source references – e.g., books or articles by respected authors or studies conducted by reputable institutions. Once this has been accomplished, you can use less established or formal sources to back any claims, such as holistic healthcare practitioners you personally know, or recalling information you know to be factual without remembering the original source.
The following are some excellent books
to help further your knowledge about the impact of water and
balancing pH on health and healing. Most of these were also WFL
Newsletter books of the month. Google your particular area of
interest within these topics or specific health issues to expand this
list.
Acid & Alkaline by Herman Aihara
Alkalize or Die by Dr. Theodore A. Baroody
The China Study by T. Colin Campbell, Ph.D.
Messages from Water by Masaru Emoto
The pH Miracle for Diabetes by Robert O. Young, Ph.D., and Shelley Redford Young
Reverse Aging by Sang Whang
Water, the Ultimate Cure by Steve Meyerowitz
You're Not Sick, You're Thirsty by F. Batmanghelidj, M.D.
Your Body's Many Cries for Water by F. Batmanghelidj, M.D.
Sharing Success Stories
Depending on the circumstances, either in conjunction with or instead of straightforward information, you can share success stories to back up your claims. Sometimes a conversation can be born solely from the excitement of sharing a great or miraculous result you or someone you know experienced!
When appropriate, try to touch upon the multiple ways you benefited: You didn’t just get rid of your arthritis pain (or achieve significant weight loss, etc.), you also saved money on buying bottled water, you feel terrific about being better to our planet, and perhaps will enjoy lifetime savings from not having to buy any more medication – not to mention avoiding the pain, suffering and inconvenience of future ills prevented. Naturally, multiple benefits from one investment appeals to most people, since there’s the confidence that if they don’t succeed on one level with their investment, they will surely succeed on another.
Sharing the Product’s Output
We’ve all heard the expression “the
proof is in the pudding”. Well, in this case, the “pudding” is
universally consumed and equally palatable to all.
Where feasible, offer to share your water with interested parties free of charge so it’s clear your primary interest is in their health. Any water store will sell 3 or 5-gallon containers with a pouring spout at the bottom and wide lid on top for easy refilling. You can pick one up and get reimbursed for the cost or they can pick one up and fill it week after week. Within two months, any benefits gained will become apparent and they will confidently invest in their own Genesis. Just the quantity of water they drink will likely make a difference as to the benefits enjoyed, as most people simply don’t drink enough water. Thus an occasional friendly reminder might help encourage some to drink more water. For those who spend most of their day away from home, perhaps suggest they fill a container to take with them.
In the case of prospects who don’t
live geographically close to your home, team up with affiliates who
live local to them. If you don’t know of any, call WFL to help you
locate some. Helping each other supply water to interested parties
will also demonstrate that Water For Life USA reps work as a team to
help newcomers experience the water before buying the machine.
Now, don’t be disheartened if every prospect doesn’t jump up and down with joy at their newfound health or youthful vigor after drinking the water for some time. Intention, belief and attitude play a large role in natural healing outcomes and there will inevitably be those who agree to drink the water just to prove it’s not going to work. Move forward and onward to the next prospect, knowing you will succeed more often than not because most people would genuinely like to heal and simplify the daily rituals of caring for their health.
