Bottled Water Contaminants To Avoid

Bottled Water Contaminants to Worry About

People all over the world drink bottled water. They pay much more for the bottled water than they do for the water from the faucet. Did you know that about 30% of bottled water comes from tap water?  That’s not the worst secret.  The worst secret is that it’s not even pure drinking water.  We dedicate this article to bottled water contaminants that you should worry about.

bottled water contaminantsIn most cases, bottled water is relatively free of harmful contaminants. However, the quality of some brands leaves much to be desired. The water they produce may pose serious health risks including heart disease and immune system disorders.

Some bottled waters contain chemicals that can cause cancer and the other health problems. Today bottled water manufacturers do not have to test their water for cryptosporidium and the other hazardous microorganisms. For that reason alone don’t believe that just because it’s sealed in a bottle that it’s safe to drink.

Bottled Water Contaminants from Soft Plastic

Bottled water is extremely popular because it’s convenient. Only soft drinks are more popular than bottled water. People who buy bottled water believe that it is healthy. Is it really so? Most scientists agree that bottled water can hardly be considered beneficial to human health. Drinking this type of water is not a sin. But it is not the right option for your health either.

The real problem with bottled water is its container. Water is usually bottled in soft plastics that can leach toxins into the water. If left in the heat, soft plastics may leach even higher levels of toxic chemicals.  Bottled water isn’t safer or healthier than the water from your faucet.

Hard plastics may leach such chemical as bisphenol-A, which is linked to diabetes, reproductive abnormalities and abnormal sexual behavior in animals.  Some bottled waters contain arsenic and the other cancer-causing chemicals.

Plastic water bottled also pose environmental and health risks. Polyvinyl Chloride is a carcinogen and hormone disruptor. It leaches phthalates. Polystyrene leaches styrene. It is another cancer-causing chemical. For these reasons we believe that bottled water is not a good option when you’re thirsty.  Plastic containers are really dangerous. Time and future studies may prove them to be extremely hazardous to those who drink bottled water on a regular basis.

Polycarbonate plastic is known to be a heat resistant and durable plastic. It is very often used for water bottles, baby bottles, animal cages and petri dishes. Contrary to popular belief, recent studies show that this plastic can leach BPA that is very dangerous to your health. Thus, it should be avoided. Children and even adults should give up drinking water from plastic bottles, hard or soft, to avoid bottled water contaminants.

The Best Alternative to Bottled Water

Today there is a much safer and healthier alternative to bottled water. Alkaline ionized water is the best drinking water available these days. This water is produced by a water ionizer, like the EOS Revelation 2 Water Ionizer available on this site.   A water ionizer is a machine that filters and ionizes tap water.
A water ionizer turns your contaminated tap water into healthy alkaline ionized water, purified of contaminants, alkaline, and full of antioxidants.
Alkaline ionized water has a lot of health benefits. It helps your body get rid of acidic wastes. As a result, it improves your health. It also neutralizes free radicals in your cells and protects them.
It is extremely important to drink high-quality water.   Unfortuantely, because of bottled water contaminants, you can’t buy high-quality water in a bottle.  Avoid drinking chlorinated tap water and bottled water of unknown origin. Drink alkaline ionized water instead.
To your health!
