Ionized Water Hydration
One of the major problems that we face as Americans as not knowing when we are thirsty. Did you know that when your mouth and throat are dry you are already very dehydrated? Most Americans wait for that feeling before they find something to drink, but that is way too late. Experts recommend that you drink at least 6 to 8 ounces of water every single hour. Most of us fall well short of this. Ionized water hydration is your best choice.
Making Good Hydration Choices — Avoid Caffeine
The other problem with dehydration is that when we get thirsty, we often reach for beverages other than water. If you’re like me, you’re not just thirsty you are also tired. So you look for something that has a pick-me-up like caffeine added it. The problem with drinking a caffeinated beverage when we are thirsty is that the caffeine dehydrates our body even more. Also, most caffeinated beverages are in an acidic base. Whether it’s coffee, soda, or even tea, if it is caffeinated the pH is usually around 5 to 6. Our own blood is that a 7.33 pH. So drinking a caffeinated beverage that’s acidic will dehydrate our body and also damage it over time!
Avoid Deceptive Hydration Choices
Most Americans may not be aware of this but a lot of the beverage choices that appear to be healthy or actually not healthy at all. For example, the bottled waters that you can purchase are not much healthier than the other beverages. Most bottled waters are purified, which means that all of the alkaline minerals and oxygen and antioxidants are stripped away from the water. What’s left is acidic. If you drink too much of an acidic water, it can actually steal nutrients and minerals from your body and make you even more dehydrated.
Companies will often get very creative and call their water a vitamin water or some other healthy sounding label. But if the water is starting out acidic, it doesn’t matter if they had some vitamins to it, it’s still acidic when you drink it.
Ionized Water Hydration
When you are thirsty, water is definitely the best choice. Bottled waters are acidic. Tap water can be contaminated with everything from leftover pharmaceutical drugs to pesticides to heavy metals. So that’s not a very good choice. Water that is purified by reverse osmosis or buy a distiller is also not good to drink because it is acidic and will damage your body over time. So what do you do?
The only viable choice to quench your thirst is to drink ionized water from a water ionizer. Unless you live right next to a glacial stream or a really good spring, there are simply no good water choices for you to drink. But a water ionizer uses a dual filtration system to remove all of the pharmaceutical drugs, heavy metals, chlorine, bacteria, sediment, and even the cleaners and junk that they put into the pipes from Municipal Water treatment facilities.
With ionized water, you end up drinking a very clean water but the most important part of a water ionizer is that it also ionizes the water. This is a process using water electrolysis, which replicates what the sun does naturally to water. The end result is water infused with ions that form a hydroxyl ion, which is water’s natural antioxidant. If you drink a bottled water or a purified water or a tap water, you will not be getting any antioxidants in your drinking water. But water from a water ionizer has more antioxidants than a glass of blueberry juice or grapefruit juice or even freshly squeezed orange juice.
Next time you are thirsty, skip the sugary beverages. Skip the caffeinated beverages. Skip the bottle and tap waters. To truly give your body what it wants, to hydrate it, and to detoxify it, drink ionized water from a water ionizer. You can store it in a dark polycarbonate bottle or a glass bottle and bring it with you to work, school, driving, or anywhere else. This is the healthiest water you can drink and it will pay dividends to your health over the years. Ionized water hydration is the key to better health.
To your health!
