Almost $4000 for the Leveluk SD501
The Leveluk SD 501 is a water ionizer made by Enagic USA. It is sold for nearly $4,000. But is it worth the high price tag?
The first thing you should know is that the level luck sd501 is sold in a multi-level marketing system created by Enagic USA. This multi level marketing system is 8 levels deep meaning that there are 8 levels of affiliates that get paid every time someone sells the Leveluk SD501. The affiliate that’s on top of the network marketing system gets paid 1700 dollars for each one that’s sold. Then the commissions go down from there. The person who actually sold the water ionizer only gets paid $250 if he’s just starting out!
Lots of Commissions Paid Out on Each Leveluk SD501 Sale
The total amount of commissions paid out on each level luck sd501 that sold is $2700. so if you take the retail price of 3980 and subtract $2700, you get $1298. So the real retail price of the SD501 should be about 1300 dollars.
Quite frankly, $1,300 is about all that the level Lock SD 501 is worth. Compared to the newer water ionizer models on the market, the SD 501 lacks many important new features. The first area where it lacks is in filtration. The SD 501 only uses a single carbon filter that is 1 micron rated. That means it only filters out 99% of contaminants. The newer water ionizer models filter out 99.99% of impurities and use a dual filter multi-stage system.
For example, the Genesis platinum water ionizer made by EOS has a total of 16 stages of water filtration. It has a stage called ion exchange resin, which removes heavy metals and fluoride from your tap water. No other water ionizer has this stage of filtration. It also has activated carbon, sediment filtration, antifungal felt, ceramic, and carbon filtration stages. In total, the Genesis Platinum Water Ionizer removes 99.99% of impurities and is .1 micron rated.
The other area where the Leveluk SD 501 falls short is its electrical system. The SD501 still uses a transformer. Transformers don’t work well in water ionizers because they produce excess heat which can damage components and they produce a dirty electrical current that is not good for ionization. The newer water ionizer models, such as the Revelation 2 Undersink Water Ionizer made by EOS, uses a switched mode power supply or SMPS electrical system. This SMPS electrical system runs much cooler and produces a cleaner electrical current, which will greatly help in water ionization.
Flat Plates in the Leveluk SD501 Kangen Water Ionizer
The next area where the level Lock SD 501 water ionizer made by Enagic USA falls short is its plates. The plates used in EOS water ionizers are made by the Hee Sung metal company of Japan which is top rated in producing platinized titanium plates. these plates are also patented because they have slots strategically placed in them that spread the electrical current evenly across the plate. This ensures that the entire plate is used during water ionization and there are no hot spots that develop. The SD 501 still uses flat plates with no slots or mesh to distribute the electrical current evenly.
Finally, the sd501 is lacking in features. It only offers 5 levels of ionization. The newer water ionizers offer 7, 8, and even 9 levels of water ionization and are adjustable to as many as 76, like the Genesis platinum water ionizer. These extra levels of ionization give the water ionizer user more flexibility in adjusting the ionization to their tap water so they get the right results. The newer water ionizers also have micom systems, which adjust the ionization to the mineral content of the tap water automatically to improve ionization results. The sd501 does not have any ability to adjust itself to your tap water. So it doesn’t matter if you have hard water or soft water, it will produce the same amount of electrical current through the plates, which means the ionization levels will vary greatly depending on where you live.
At over 9 years old, the Leveluk SD501 is old technology still sold at a very high price because of the multi level marketing system. You can call it Kangen water but that doesn’t mean it’s worth over $3980. The truth is the newer water ionizer models on the market offer much better technology, much better filtration, and much better results and they are sold at a fraction of the price. For example, the Genesis platinum water ionizer is only $1,895.
