KYK Harmony Installation and Operation

Undersink Method:
Don't be intimidated! You don't need a plumber! This should only take you fifteen minutes, and it is the best way to install your unit.

1) This is what a typical spigot looks like underneath your sink. There are two of them, cold and hot. Cold is usually on the right. You’ll need to locate the cold water spigot. Turn the knob on the cold water spigot to the right to turn off the water to your faucet. |

2) Follow the water supply hose from the cold water spigot to where it connects to the main faucet. The first step is to unscrew this hose (you may need a pair of pliers if it's tight). |

3) Screw in the undersink valve as shown. Be sure you place the "O" ring between the valve and rivets to avoid leaks. |

4) Connect the water supply hose to the valve from the cold water spigot. |

5) Next locate the above sink valve and the 1/4 inch tube (the skinny tube). Unscrew the cap at the end of the above sink valve and place it on the end of the 1/4 inch tube. |

6) Connect the 1/4 tube to the above sink valve by simply pushing the tube over the metal arm and screwing the cap back on. |
![]() |
7) Cut the 1/4 inch tube to the length you need to connect the undersink valve to the above sink valve. Simply cut with a good, sharp knife. |

8) Attach above sink valve to area on wall that is convenient for you to access. Simply screw it in. (Optional: Use provided white plastic guides; this requires you drill hole first). This is your flow control valve, and it will control the water to your KYK Harmony. |

9) Cut the 3/8-inch tube (the fatter one) to the length you need to connect to your KYK Harmony. Attach it to the other side of the above sink valve. |

10) Attach the knob to the center with the provided screw. |
![]() |
11) Next, attach the 3/8-inch tube to the input valve underneath the KYK Harmony as shown. Attach with provided clamp. The input valve is on the right, not on the left as shown in the instruction manual. The output valve for the disposal tube is in the center of the unit. For the disposal tube, simply cut the remaining 3/8-inch hose (the thicker hose) to the length you need to reach your sink from the disposal valve on your unit, and allow the hose to rest in your sink. |

11) Optional step: Drill a hole for the 1/4-inch tube to fit through so it can get from the above sink valve to the undersink valve. If there is already access between the top of your sink and underneathe it, you don't need to drill. |

12) Finally, run the 1/4-inch tube through the drilled hole and attach it to the undersink valve. Turn the valve on. |
All done! Now, all you have to do is turn the knob on the above sink valve to control the water to your KYK Harmony. For optimal results, turn it about half way so that the water flow is between 1.8 and 2.3 liters per minute.
Faucet Method:

1) Simply unscrew your current faucet aerator and screw in the faucet diverter valve. Use the provided adaptor if your faucet head is female instead of male. |

2) Cut the 3/8-inch tube so that it is long enough to fit between your faucet and the KYK Harmony. Attach the 3/8-inch tube to the faucet diverter valve and the input valve of the KYK Harmony (the valve on the right). Use the provided clamps for a tight fit. Then cut a 3/8-inch hose long enough to reach between your KYK Harmony and your sink. This is your disposal tube, and you simply connect it to the disposal valve underneathe your KYK Harmony in the center. Clamp it tightly. Operation: You control the water flow with your main faucet control. You switch between running the water normally and running it through the KYK Harmony with the black lever on the diverter valve. |
Basic KYK Operating Instructions

1) There are seven preset pH levels and their corresponding buttons, four alkaline (shades of blue/purple) on the right of the panel, one filtered-only button (green) on the left, and two acidic level buttons (yellow and red).
2) Start drinking water on the first alkaline level on the right (light blue, 8.5 pH). Drink two to three glasses per day for a week, then move up to the blue button above it, 9.0 pH. Drink two or three glasses per day for a week, then move up to level three, 9.5 pH (slightly purple button). Stay there for the rest of your life because this is the alkaline pH and ORP level that is recommended by most health practitioners.

3) By the LED screen, there are four buttons: FUN, SET, +, and -. Use FUN to switch between ORP and pH measurement when the water is running. This only changes what the machine is measuring in the water, it does not alter ionization. The SET button is for customizing the level of pH or ORP. The SET button is only used when there is no water running through the machine. Just touch the preset pH level you want, then touch SET and use the + and – buttons to change the pH as much as two levels in either direction. Normally, you will not need to do this unless you need to customize your pH to an exact level for your aquarium.
4) On the LED screen pH is displayed with the big number (8.5, etc.). The wheel on the left shows the exact flow of the water, indicating your machine is accurately measuring water usage. Below that, the machine displays the flow rate of the water running through your machine in liters per minute. To the right of that is your filter life indicator, which starts at 7000 liters and counts down to 0. Change your filter at 0.
This is all you need to know to run and enjoy your KYK Harmony! Welcome to a lifetime of good health!
