What is an antioxidant?
We talk a lot about how important it is to drink antioxidant-rich alkaline ionized water from EOS water ionizers. But what is an antioxidant? Why are antioxidants important to your diet?
Antioxidants occur naturally in wine, chocolate, fruits, vegetables, and even coffee. There are literally thousands of antioxidant compounds that can be found in foods and beverages. Flavinoids are found in chocolate. Lycopene is found in tomatoes. Resveratrol is found in wine. You may not know that other antioxidants are vitamins such as Vitamin A (beta carotene), vitamin C, vitamin E and catechins.

Oxidants in Our Body

Besides our body naturally producing accidents, we also get oxidants from air pollution, emotional stress, alcohol, contaminants in our drinking water, physical stress like too much exercise, and a bad diet (like too much fat and protein).
Antioxidants in our Diet
Antioxidants are very healthy and you can find them naturally in blueberries, cocoa, green tea, black pepper, kiwi, pumpkin, red peppers, and even coffee.
