We completed a bottled water test that compares alkaline ionized water from an EOS water ionizer to various bottled waters that you can buy at your local Supermarket. We tested for pH and ORP and you can see the video below.
Aquafina and Dasani also tested as strong acids because they are purified waters that are purified through distillation or reverse osmosis, which strips the waters of all their natural minerals, oxygen, and antioxidants. Both Aquafina and Dasani add minerals fore taste, but it is not enough to raise the pH of the water above a strong acidic state.
Lastly, we tested in alkaline bottled water that claimed a pH above 10. Indeed, this water tested at a10 pH. But does that make it healthier for you to drink? Not when you consider that most water in the US is already alkaline. In fact, water in southern states has so many alkaline minerals in the form of calcium and magnesium that the water is hard. So, most Americans do not need more alkaline minerals in their water.
We tested the alkaline bottled water with an ORP meter and, as we suspected, it had a positive ORP indicating that it is still oxidizing to the body. The back of the label claims that it is anti-oxidizing. They are lying to the consumer.
We then made alkaline ionized water using the EOS DNA water ionizer and its pH tested at a dark purple indicating at least a 10 pH. When we tested the ORP of the EOS alkaline ionized water, it was a powerful negative ORP, indicating the presence of hydroxyl ions, which are the natural antioxidant in water that detoxifies your body.
In conclusion, only EOS alkaline ionized water has any antioxidants in it. All of the other bottled waters are acidic or barely alkaline and don’t have any antioxidants to cleanse your body. According to our bottled water test, the best water to drink is ionized alkaline water and you can use a polycarbonate or glass bottle and reuse it to reduce waste.
