Did you know that sometimes our chronological age does not match our biological age? Sometimes our bodies are older than our number of years alive. This happens when we don’t take care of ourselves and our bodies break down faster than they should. In a new report released by the National Institute of Health, they discovered that drinking enough water will help us age better. There are other health benefits, too, and make sure it’s ionized water.
A researcher in the Laboratory of Cardiovascular Regenerative Health at the National Heart Blood and Lung Institute stated that “proper hydration slows down aging and promotes a disease-free life.”
These researchers also found that there is an epidemic of age-related chronic diseases. The conclusion is if you can slow down your aging process, you can save yourself from these chronic diseases. They also mentioned that this will save on health care costs.
Slowing down our aging and not getting diseases sounds pretty good, doesn’t it? Especially if it saves us money when we’re old.
Most people would prefer to travel or spend time with family. This beats being in a hospital with a chronic disease. To have that kind of life, we have to take care of ourselves now. We have to drink our ionized water.
We don’t condone any kind of animal research or testing, but in this case, there was testing done on mice. Researchers restricted the amount of water that a group of mice was given throughout their life. They discovered that these mice died the equivalent of 15 human years earlier than mice that were properly hydrated!
Of course, we are not mice. But there are a lot of correlations between a rodent body and a human body, enough that this research is relevant. If drinking a couple of extra glasses of water a day can allow us to live 15 years longer, why wouldn’t we do it?
