Many companies are still selling purified water. For your home, they sell reverse osmosis systems and distillers. At the store, they sell purified bottled water. They claim that it’s healthier for you. It’s not.
Purified is just a fancy name for empty. It is basically taking something and stripping everything from it. Try to imagine purified food. What would purified broccoli look like? Or purified milk? What would milk be without calcium? What would broccoli be without vitamins?
Water isn’t any different. Water is supposed to have minerals, oxygen and antioxidants in it. When a pure water company shows you a waterfall, they are not showing you pure water. A waterfall is full of minerals and oxygen ions from the sun. When they show you a pristine stream or creek, that is also not purified water.
Purified water is something that was created in a lab. In order to properly clean lab equipment, they created purified water to make sure none of the minerals or anything else interfered with the lab equipment when they cleaned it.

We imagine that, at some point, a reverse osmosis filtration company decided that they weren’t selling enough units to labs and decided to market it to people. That probably started the whole pure water nonsense.
You want your drinking water to have trace minerals in it like magnesium and calcium and potassium. You also want it to be full of oxygen to give your body energy. And you wanted to be full of antioxidants to detoxify your body.
Purified water doesn’t have any of these qualities. You have to drink natural water to get minerals and oxygen. But if that natural water sits around for more than 3 days, all of the ions will fizzle out and it won’t have any antioxidants. That’s where a water ionizer comes in.
