Now that the season is changing it is particularly important to be aware of how much water you are drinking. The days are getting longer, we are outside more, and it’s easy to get dehydrated. To combat this, have a bottle of quality alkaline ionized water handy!
One thing that most people don’t think about when it comes to Spring is the wind. The changing of the seasons usually brings about periods of strong wind. Wind can dehydrate you very quickly! It dries out your skin and, as you breathe in that cool dry air, it dehydrates your body.
By the time you notice that your mouth is dry, you are already well into the stages of dehydration. Other symptoms of dehydration can include feeling tired, feeling grumpy, feeling abnormally cold or hot, body shakes, goose pimples, muscle achiness, and unusual appetite changes. All of these symptoms are just our body’s way of telling us that something is wrong. Usually what’s wrong is that we’re not drinking enough water!

Quality Ionized Water Leads to More Energy

Water is the most important substance we put in our bodies. When our body is hydrated, there is a better exchange of energy on a cellular level. Water is also crucial to our brain functioning, our digestion, muscle repair and growth, and even our vision is better when we are hydrated. If you eat a large meal when your body is dehydrated, your body will work harder to digest it. This extra strain on your body can make you feel tired, emotional, and your body won’t even get the same amount of nutrients from the food that it normally would.

Dehydration also compromises our body’s immune system. If you have a cold or are even battling covid-19, a dehydrated body will struggle to mount a strong defense. Alkaline ionized water is crucial for the development of antibodies and other immune responses in our body.

So how much water should you be drinking? A general rule of thumb is that you should be drinking 8 oz of water every hour. Some experts believe that the formula is to take your body weight, divide it in half, and then divide that number by the number of hours that you are awake. So if you weigh 200 pounds, you should be drinking 100 ounces of water over the course of about 12 to 14 hours.

Of course, this is just the minimum amount of water you should drink. If you are working out or going on a hike, you will need to increase your water intake. If you are going through any emotionally stressful time, you will also need to increase the amount of water you drink.

The type of water you drink is also crucially important. You don’t want to be drinking water that is acidic because it’ll put an extra strain on your body. Acidic water is water that has everything filtered out of it like reverse osmosis water or distilled water. Most bottled water that you drink is purified water and not good for your body!

The best water to drink is alkaline ionized water. Alkaline ionized water works with your body to reduce acid waste. The water electrolysis that creates ionized water also fills it with antioxidants that your body uses to detoxify. A combination of alkalinity and antioxidants helps your body with food digestion, helps you sleep better, gives you more energy during the day, and even makes you feel better.

So, this spring, don’t get so busy and interested in the beautiful flowers that you forget to drink your water. Keep a bottle of alkaline ionized water with you wherever you go. That way you’ll be able to enjoy spring to the fullest and give your body the best possible water to drink.
