Animal Fat Causes Type 2 Diabetes

Intramyocellular lipids. Have you ever heard of them? Turns out that they are the main cause of Type 2 Diabetes. They come from animal fat which the average American eats a lot of.  It’s time to rethink diabetes prevention and care. Here’s a hint: ionized water helps with both!

Fat, Not Sugar, is the Problem

A blood sugar study was conducted in 2016. In this study, one group was given a very high sugar and high carbohydrate diet. Another group was given a diet full of animal fat. The results were, after only two days, the group consuming the animal fat had twice as much blood sugar as the other group!

How Fat Blocks Sugar Absorption

Intramyocellular lipids from the animal fat that we consume builds up in our muscles. These fats gum up our muscles. This ends up blocking the delivery of sugar from our blood to our muscles, which is the main function of insulin (and several enzymes insulin triggers). The result is that our blood sugar rises significantly leading to Type 2 Diabetes.

How to Prevent Type 2 Diabetes

So what can you do to protect yourself from Type 2 Diabetes? The most obvious strategy is to cut back on your consumption of animal products. I know that’s hard to do. Almost every meal of our day has animal products in it. Breakfast has eggs and bacon. Lunch has a meat sandwich. Dinner is more meat with rice or a potato and a glass of milk. It’s easy to lose track, but we are consuming a ton of animal fat.  So we need to get back to a healthy balance.

You should only be eating about 10% protein in your diet. Another 10% should be grains and carbohydrates. 80% should be fruits and vegetables. If you can change your diet to match these percentages, you will significantly reduce your risk of Type 2 Diabetes.

What you drink is also very important. As we previously stated ionized water can help in the prevention and care of Type 2 Diabetes. Ionized water is a powerful antioxidant. It helps to detoxify your body and keep your cells clean. This will improve the function of your cells and help prevent Type 2 Diabetes.

Studies have also shown that a diet rich in antioxidants is a powerful tool in combating Type 2 Diabetes if you already have it.  Either way, you should be drinking at least 8 oz of ionized water every single hour.

A sedentary lifestyle has also been linked to the development of both types of diabetes. Finding time to exercise everyday is very important to your health.
