Rio Undersink Alkaline Water Ionizer

The Rio’s faucet is designed for ease of use. It measures 10.5 inches tall with an 8-inch long top arm and a 6-inch long bottom arm. It has two movable arms to dispense alkaline and acid water. When you select an alkaline level, the alkaline water comes out of the top arm, while the acid water comes out of the bottom arm. This makes the collection of both types of water simple!

There are four levels of alkaline water, two levels of acid water, and a pure water button. To select the level of alkaline water you want, simply push the ALKALINE button until the pH you want is displayed, then press “on” to get that water. Want acid water? Just press the ACID button. Want filtered-only water? Just press the PURE button!

The faucet also displays the filter life remaining for each of the two internal filters. Unlike other water ionizers that use a timer, the Rio has direct communication with each of its filters so it knows exactly how much water has been processed. When either filter gets within 60 liters of remaining filter life, a voice will tell you that it’s time to change the filter.

Finally, the Rio has all the controls built in to enter its engineering mode. This allows you to change the strength of ionization for any of the eight preset levels. While it is unlikely you’ll need to make any changes, it’s good to have the ability to make adjustments to compensate for difficult water, like water that is too hard or too soft. This ensures that the Rio will work for virtually any tap water in the US!

The Rio Undersink Water Ionizer Base

The Rio base sits under your sink. It measures 15.5 inches tall, 13.5 inches wide, and 6.5 inches deep. The base houses two filters, nine plates, and the SMPS electrical system. There is an inlet for plugging in the power cord. Underneath the base, there are inlets connecting the alkaline and acid water tubes. Installation is relatively simple. Most people do not need to hire a plumber. If you have a utility hole in your sink, the same hole that a soap dispenser or sprayer uses, the hard part is already over. Simply drop the faucet into the utility hole and then tighten it to your counter using the stainless steel clamp. After the faucet is installed, simply attach the tubes and power cord and then connect your water supply tube to the provided cold water line diverter valve. Then plug in your Rio and you’re ready to drink your first glass of delicious ionized water!

The acidic water four level three is a milder acidic water. It is a great level for watering your plants. Capture this water into a watering can and regularly water your houseplants with it. It has just the right amount of acid to keep plants healthy and happy because they have the opposite biology as humans. You can also use this water to preserve your cut flowers and they will last longer. The 5.5 pH of this water makes for a great natural astringent for your face. Put it into a spray bottle and spray it on your face when you need to remove make-up. It absorbs oil and dirt better than tap water. The acidic water level four is the strongest acidic water. It is a 3 pH and lower. This water is great for sterilization.
