IonPlus Faucet and Base
We listened to consumers when designing the new IonPlus Undersink Water Ionizer. The biggest complaints about previous models were that the faucets were too small, the arms didn’t swivel, they were made of plastic, and the controls were hard to use. With the IonPlus, you’ve got a faucet tall enough to put a large pot underneath it. It’s also made of stainless steel, so it is easy to clean and beautiful to look at. The top arm of the faucet extends well into your sink and swivels the entire length of your sink, making it easy to wash with acidic water or cook with alkaline water. The buttons are also easy to understand and push, so even children and the elderly will have no problem using and enjoying the IonPlus. The IonPlus faucet measures 17 inches tall. The top spigot is 13.7 inches long. The bottom spigot is 6 inches long. A spec sheet is uploaded at the top of this page for your convenience.
The IonPlus base sits conveniently underneath your sink and houses the filter and water ionization chamber. Even though it’s designed to be behind closed doors, it is still an attractive and sturdy design. It’s only 14 inches tall and 11 inches wide, so it’ll fit under most sinks with room to spare.
Simple-to-Use Controls
The controls on the IonPlus Undersink Water Ionizer are simple to use. There is an alkaline button, an acid button, and an on/off button. If you want water, you press the on/off button. You use the alkaline or acid water button to choose which water pH level you want. Alkaline 3 is the recommended drinking water level because it creates a glass of water similar to what you’d find in a pristine spring or glacial stream. Alkaline 4 is the super-alkaline water button. You use super-alkaline water for cooking. It can neutralize oil-based stains to remove the oil-based pesticides from your fruits and vegetables. The acid water button can create two levels of acidic water. The acid 1 level is mildly acidic water used for watering houseplants and spritzing on your face. The acid 2 level is super acidic water that you can use to sterilize. Simply fill a spray bottle and spritz super-acidic water around your kitchen and bathroom.

Easy to Install
The IonPlus Undersink Water Ionizer is easy to install. First, you need a 1.25-inch hole, which is the same size as the utility holes that are a part of most stainless steel sinks. Oftentimes, these utility holes will have a soap dispenser or a sprayer installed in them, which you must remove.
Next, drop in the IonPlus faucet. A stainless steel stem will drop down into the utility hole. You use the provided steel nut to tighten the faucet to your countertop.
Under your sink, you need to locate your cold water line spigot and turn off the water by turning the knob to the left. Next, you remove the 3/8 or 1/2 inch hose that’s attached to the spigot by unscrewing it. Next, take the cold water line diverter valve provided with your IonPlus and screw it into the cold water spigot. Then screw in the hose to the other side of the cold water line diverter valve so it is installed between the hose and the spigot.
Next, attach the tube to the cold water line diverter valve by pushing it in and connect the other end to the WATER INPUT under the IonPlus base. Finally, attach the tubes between the base and the faucet and also the communication cable, and you’re all set!
The typical installation time is 20 minutes. If you need to drill a hole using a carbide saw factor in another 15 minutes. Most customers do not require plumbers to install the IonPlus.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is an under-sink water ionizer?
An under-sink water ionizer is a water ionizer that is designed for the filters, plates, and most other electronics to fit in a base that installs underneath your sink. The controls for your water ionizer are built into a faucet that installs above your sink. This way, your countertops are clear, which many people appreciate.
What are the benefits of an under-sink water ionizer?
An under-sink water ionizer has all the benefits of a countertop water ionizer. It creates the same pH range and the same amount of antioxidants in the drinking water. The main difference is that a water ionizer fits comfortably under your sink, whereas a countertop water ionizer sits on top of your counter. The benefit of an under-sink water ionizer is that it keeps your countertop clear while still providing the same incredible alkaline ionized water.
Is an under-the-sink water filter worth it?
An under-sink water ionizer costs $200 to $300 more than a countertop water ionizer. If you have ample space on your countertop, it makes economic sense to get a countertop water ionizer because it produces the same quality ionized water. However, if space is an issue or you don’t like the design of the countertop water ionizer, it may be worth spending the extra money to get in under sink model.
Is an under-sink water ionizer easy to install?
For most people, an under-sink water ionizer is easy to install. The faucet fits into the same utility hole as a soap dispenser or water sprayer would fit into. The size of the hole is 1.33 in diameter. The faucet of the under-sink water ionizer drops into the utility hole, and a steel clamp secures it from underneath your sink. The under-sink water ionizer base sits on your cabinet’s floor. It installs to your cold water line using an angle stop valve that screws in between the hose and the spigot. The tubes that connect to the under-sink water ionizer faucet are installed by pressing into quick-connect adapters. Then you have to plug the base of your under-sink water ionizer into a power supply. Most people do not need a plumber to accomplish this. Installation typically takes 20 minutes.
